DIY Projects

I have designed and built different pieces of DIY music gear. Here are some of the projects.

El Nene¬†–¬†MIDI Controller.

My first finished design, it is thought as a Control Surface for Ableton Live. It includes 32 knobs, a 5×8 button grid for clip launch and 8 volume faders as the main controls. On the sides 6 arcade buttons are placed for custom FX or stutter control. Plus, two x/y joysticks for multiple parameters control. At the bottom, arcade buttons for transport control and scene selection.

The following video explains the controllers construction process:

The Stick Sustainer

A Chapman Stick sustainer built as a thesis project for my Music Technology and Production Masters program at Berklee College of Music.
